The Service Management Society

Published: October 1st, 2008.

The program, in the form of the USMBOK Governance Council (UGC), responsible for extending the USMBOK and ensuring its industry relevance and usefulness, is now managed and operated by the Service Management Society.

The Service Management Society, Inc. ("SM-S") is a non-profit corporation organized to support individuals, groups and organizations interested or engaged in furthering the profession and discipline of Service Management.

A primary objective of the Society is to " Establish a body of knowledge for the service management professional supported by a community-led management and improvement program".
